Our Promise

Our Promise

The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation is dedicated to move, touch and inspire family caregivers while they are walking the caregiving path.  Our caregiver resource centers, Leeza’s Care Connection, provide a proactive, solution-based program that teaches the skills needed to tackle the demands of caregiving and an ever-changing life.

Our Goal

Our team works passionately with one urgent goal in mind: to create an atmosphere of encouragement and empowerment, allowing caregivers to flourish and thrive as they call on their courage and summon their strength, creating better outcomes for the person being cared for and for the caregiver themselves as they also learn how to maintain their own health and life while caring for someone they love.

Our Inspiration

To create what Leeza and her family wished they’d had when they were lost, frustrated and frightened while caring for her mom. It was a promise Leeza made to her mom “to tell her story and make it count”.

Leeza’s Care Connection

Leeza’s Care Connection is a community gathering place for all types of caregivers. It is a place to go to ask questions, get answers, find resources and get support. Our living room setting offers a safe environment for caregivers to share experiences and be heard, but more than that it is a place to connect with resources, connect with other caregivers and connect with their own strength of spirit, which can powerfully carry them through their journey.

We Are:

An energetic community of people who stand together during the caregiving journey so no one has to walk alone.

A place where caregivers learn the importance of holding onto yourself while caring for someone you love.

A family who understands both the burdens and blessing of caregiving.

A place to engage in programs where you emerge stronger, more grounded and self-confident about your role as caregiver and the challenges that lie ahead.

 BreatheBelieveReceive

“This is like a mantra of ours at Leeza’s Care Connection.  I hope it resonates with you- Leeza”

Breathe, Believe, Receive.  Today I will take a deep breath in as I move forward. I come to gain strength and to offer it.  I know that I am on a path that I cannot walk alone so I will find ways to connect and communicate my needs.  I give myself permission to be vulnerable, recognizing that my fear is just courage looking for a way in.  I know that even when I fall short of my hopes, I am enough because I try and I care .  When I am overwhelmed or frustrated, I will connect to the community of  support that is my family of choice.   There is wisdom in our connection, there is hope in our hearts, and there is strength in our togetherness.  Today I will exhale knowing I am not alone.   Breathe, believe, receive.
