Leeza Gibbons
Our Founder
Leeza Gibbons is an Emmy Award–winning broadcaster, New York Times bestselling author, and dedicated advocate for family caregivers. But perhaps her most personal role has been that of a daughter navigating her mother's Alzheimer's journey.

That experience shaped her belief that no caregiver should have to walk this path alone. For more than two decades, Leeza has championed caregivers and helped families navigate the challenges of caregiving with practical guidance, trusted resources, and meaningful connection.
A Personal Journey Becomes a Mission
When Leeza’s mother and grandmother both faced Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving became deeply personal. What began as a family journey soon became a calling.

In response, Leeza founded the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and Leeza’s Care Connection. In 2016, she opened the first Care Connection Center in her hometown of Columbia, South Carolina, creating a place where caregivers could find connection, trusted guidance, and practical support.

Today, Leeza’s Care Connection draws on decades of caregiving advocacy and experience to provide free resources, programs, and support for families navigating dementia, chronic illness, aging, and the realities of caregiving.

What We Believe
We believe caregivers deserve support before they reach a breaking point. Through practical guidance, meaningful connection, and early intervention, we help families navigate the caregiving journey with greater confidence and resilience.
